yeah, calibrating the towers is a pain D:

Tower calibrating.

When I did it, towards the end, I had to yell out the commands to mum who could then write and read them out for me (or backwards in case they needed it).

Yeah. Don't like that. At all.

The Gunner's Gauntlet was fun, and personally I enjoyed Sphere Break.

I was yelling. I HATE YOU everytime I got one, and then I REALLY HATE YOU everytime I missed it, and when I lost "FUCK YOU!"

Long story short, my brother had a hard time getting to sleep yesterday.. 8D

What exactly do you GET out of calibrating the towers? Because seriously, is it even worth it? ]8

Later on you get a reward for having attempted to calibrate each tower, and it depends on how many you managed to do.

I think the prize "zones" are 0-5 successful, 6-14 successful, 15-24 successful, 25-29 successful, and finally a perfect score.

Perfect score is what you need to aim for for the "secret" tower 10 (which is in the middle of a lake and you do it from a distance), and from that you definately get a Ribbon.

It means all in all you get 10 prizes (one for each tower), and they're mostly all worth it.

I forgot to mention, if anyone ever has problems getting the perfect Sphere Break needed to get Lady Luck from Shinra. Use the following page:

I think... it took me five times to kill Shinra at Sphere Break.

I agree with Maggie though: the towers can die~






But maybe, just maybe, the Machina Cave puzzle was worse :<

On a positive note: I love Blitzball.

Sphere Break rocked, I murderized Shinra on my second try (hadn't worked out the multiplying rules on the first try).

To be honest, after the Blitzball minigame in FFX, the barely-any-action-piece of crap (even though it had Rikku swimming in it <3) that featured in FFX-2 was really quite pathetic.

Ugh, I have to agree with Joels here that FFX-2 Blitzball is evil.

I liked the new additions, like training and formations and stuff, but what the game really needed was to not restrict Blitzball to Chapter 5, allow it throughout the whole game and include playing it normally. That way you could spend time doing the bits they like you to do in X-2 (training and all that), and then by Chapter 5 PROD SOME RIGHTEOUS BUTTOCK!

I agree that it was way too limited, considering that by the time you hit chapter 5 all you really want to do (more like SHOULD do) is Episode Complete everything for the Mascot dress-sphere.





International + Last Mission had it SOOO much better. *is jealous*
